VOLTAGE DESIGN PICK
Hyper Lush
The Midwest’s post-apocalyptic future has never looked so bright. The storytellers, artists, and designers of Hardland/Heartland: Facilitating Collaboration for a Better Future along with Anthem Heart bring you HyperLush for spring ‘07. The separations between human, plant, and animal have deteriorated, and culture will thrive in a new and previously unfathomable way. By exploring and pushing the fantastical future scenario of Hardland/Heartland the contributors to HyperLush have discovered a whole new way to approach the idea of fashion, fueled by allowing parts of their immediate environment to become the basis for “real” myths and legends. Quoth Hyper Lush: “We, in the Midwest, are not the brainwashed masses of the coastal megalopolis – the evolutionary process has smiled upon us - We have come to thrive in what was thought to be a toxic atrocity.” fashion events and shows.
