This past Friday, l'etoile hosted Imagination Mechanism, an MNFashion Week party at the beautiful Eitel Building on Loring Park. The event was an interactive bash co-sponsored with Secrets of the City that included a live fashion photo shoot by Stephen Stephens, with creative direction from l'etoile's Beth Hammarlund and Kate Iverson, styling by Jahna Peloquin, and hair/makeup by Kate Erickson and models Karen O. and Kevin from Vision Management Group. With live post production including digital retouching by Kate Iverson and art direction/layout design by Chris Larson.
Party-goers mingled between the Eitel's rooftop sky park and the building's model unit on the 6th floor where the photo shoot was happening, all the while sipping wine and enjoying appetizers courtesy of Ginger Hop Restaurant. A creative inspiration station was set up in the sky park party room where attendees could create fashion photo shoot mood boards and story boards -- which resulted in a lot of great ideas!
The live photo shoot l'etoile came up with is entitled Behind Closed Doors and tells a short story of a man and woman whose relationship is on the rocks. The Eitel Building's model unit provided the glamorous backdrop while clothing and accessories from Blacklist Vintage, Elsworth, Hymie's Haberdashery, Belle Reve, and Russell Bourienne filled in the stylish blanks. Models Karen O. and Kevin from Vision made the perfect (disgruntled) couple!
Check out the shoot below and stay tuned, we'll be releasing our Spring editorial, Kiss me, Cake later this week!
